The brake and shift system

  • Provides a new shifting and braking system for persons with physical limitations.
  • Perfect for riders with limited strength, range of motion and mobility caused by osteoarthritis of the thumb, hand limitations or carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • Large muscle groups in the forearm are used to shift gears relieving pain and pressure on the thumb and joints.
  • Shifters and brake levers are gripped with the fingers, not by the thumbs.
  • Wide placement of the grips slows steering, thus increasing control and safety.
  • The system tends to have the rider sit more upright, thus reducing the weight placed upon the hands and arms.
  • More upright position lessens pressure put upon the lower back during rough roadway riding with legs in a position to act as shock absorbers.
  • Near infinite choice of hand positions can relieve pain and fatigue.
  • Large adjustment range for your hand size allows a perfect fit.
  • All gears are intuitively “low-to-the-left”.
  • You can completely customize your brake lever fit to match your hand size and finger length.
  • Fits directly on to existing 7/8" inch (22.5mm) handlebars with no special tools.
